Lancel Celebrates 150 Years With an Lancel Toujours Exhibition, a Capsule Collection and a Red Wave Across Paris
June 4, 2026
From a Pipe Factory on Rue des Petites Écuries to One of France's Most Iconic Maisons
Lancel marks its 150th anniversary with a sweeping activation across Paris. The Maison inaugurates Lancel Toujours, a free exhibition at its historic flagship at 8 Place de l'Opéra. Alongside, a 15-piece capsule collection of the iconic Premier Flirt drops at the same address. Meanwhile, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann dedicates its windows to the Premier Flirt until June 23. The same activation travels across Galeries Lafayette in Metz, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Toulouse, Nantes, Cap 3000 and Nice Masséna.
Lancel Toujours
The Exhibition retraces 150 years of the Maison. From the pipe factory Angèle and Alphonse Lancel established at 20 rue des Petites Écuries in 1876, through the travel accessories and luggage innovations of the 1920s, to the signatures bags that built the Maison's identity. The scénographie journeys across a cabinet of curiosities, an atelier of inventions and a chronicle of the Maison's global expansion. A Rizzoli book with an entirely red cover accompanies the exhibition on the ground floor.
The Premier Flirt Turns 20
Valeria Vigorelli, Studio Director, reimagines the iconic bucket bag across 15 exclusive iterations in archival materials and artisanal finishes. 15 personalities. 15 moments. 15 ways of being. All 15 pieces are on view and available at the flagship.
