LÉOUBE, THE PROVENÇAL VINEYARD NESTLED BETWEEN THE SEA AND THE MAQUIS, LAUNCHES ITS FIRST GIN NAMED “MEDITERRANEAN GIN”
Château Léoube, this unique French Provencal vineyard nestled between the sea and the scrubland in one of the most beautiful protected sites in Europe in the heart of Cap Bénat, launched its brand new Gin.
Inspired by the plant essences found throughout the Domaine Léoube, the creation of a Gin was a natural evolution for the House. This new elixir reveals the emblematic perfumes of Provence and is in line with the Domaine’s eco-responsible and virtuous commitment.
Carefully distilled in copper stills, each plant extract was distilled separately with grape alcohol in order to preserve the aromatic richness. Then comes the time of blending by Léoube’s oenologist who, by relying on the know-how of a traditional French distillery, has guaranteed the finesse of the gin. With the “Mediterranean Gin by Léoube”, the estate has been able to bring together the expertise of each person in the tailor-made production of this unique elixir of great finesse and aroma.
Produced in limited quantities, it is a true sensory journey through Provence and is fully in line with the House’s commitment to responsible agriculture and development.
Its subtle taste evokes sweet summer evenings by the sea, where the heady scents of wildflowers and sea spray mingle. The nose is elegant, juicy, expressive, evoking citrus fruits and leaves. It is completed by a nice bouquet of spices typical of gin. The mouth is both sweet and complex. Citrus fruits mingle with discreet notes of anise and pepper. The rosemary comes subtly to express itself at the end of the mouth.
Thanks to its salty and greedy character, this Gin invites you to travel on the Mediterranean paths… Its complexity is remarkable, as well in pure tasting as in cocktail.
