MARTELLE TERRACE INVITES YOU TO DISCOVER 300 YEARS OF HISTORY AND KNOW-HOW OF THE MARTELL HOUSE BY HIGHLIGHTING THE MAIN STAGES OF THE COGNAC ELABORATION PROCESS.

This winter, the terrace of Bar 8 at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris will be decked out in the colors of the Maison Martell and will offer, from November 19 to early spring, a menu of original cocktails in collaboration with the oldest of the great cognac houses.

Like the Saint-Honoré district, Bar 8 at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris is a place where elegance and creativity meet at all times of the day. Its tree-lined terrace, nestled in the heart of the hotel’s interior garden, is an invitation to stroll around and get away from it all. This winter, a warm setting is being created on the terrace of Bar 8 in a new contemporary and authentic décor inspired by the spirit of a cognac cellar: copper tubes reminiscent of the Charentais still, watches (traditional bottles used to sample the Eaux-de-vie), and fine-grained oak barrels used exclusively by the House of Martell to age the Eaux-de-vie.

The Martell terrace at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris is the ideal place to enjoy the long winter evenings, sheltered from the vagaries of the weather thanks to the heated tent that covers it. For the occasion, the menu of Bar 8 offers a selection of pure cognacs and exclusive cocktails imagined by the bartenders of the Mandarin Oriental, Paris in collaboration with the Cellar Master of the House of Martell, Christophe Valtaud. Each cognac represented offers a unique aromatic profile and is in keeping with the Martell style with richness, elegance and finesse.
