FOR ITS 70TH ANNIVERSARY, THE BRAND WILL SHOWCASE ITS NEW RESORT COLLECTION ON A HEAVENLY ISLAND ON JUNE 29, 2021

The date and place have finally been revealed: the show will take place on June 29, 2021 on the Italian island of Ischia, in the Bay of Naples. The Italian fashion brand, which had to cancel last summer’s cruise show in St Petersburg, can finally showcase its brand new collection in front of people instead of screens.

Thanks to its rich vegetation and breathtaking landscapes, Ischia island is a place that has attracted and inspired many artists for years – authors, filmmakers and now, fashion designers. This summer, it’s the magnificent Italian hotel Mezzatorre – a 15th-century castle transformed into a luxury five-star – that will host the long-awaited show. Max Mara is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and they kicked off the celebrations in February with an exceptional digital runway show that was filmed at Milan’s La Triennale design museum.

The cruise season is in full swing, and we can say that it’s quite Mediterranean-oriented, with Dior choosing Athens as its location to showcase its 2022 cruise collection. More details about Max Mara’s inspirations for their collection should be released very soon.
