MAISON PERRIER-JOUËT PURSUE ITS COMMON REFLECTION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MAN AND NATURE AND PRESENTS A UNIQUE LIMITED EDITION CELEBRATING BIODIVERSITY

Together with Séverine Frerson, Cellar Master, the designers explore the terroir of Perrier-Jouët in its most essential aspect: its biodiversity. They created a box containing the Perrier Jouët Blanc de Blancs Cuvée and two glasses engraved with the Japanese anemone, the emblematic flower of the House. This champagne is a tribute to Chardonnay, the House’s signature grape variety. It is perfectly in line with the floral style of Perrier-Jouët wines.

FLORAL REFLECTION

This set depicts the love for art and the passion for nature. Common values shared already at the time by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose Adelaïde Jouët and today with Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler. The Austrian Duo is inspired by the famous Japanese anemones designed by Emile Gallé, pioneer of Art Nouveau, on a bottle of Champagne Perrier-Jouët for the first time in 1902.

Since then, these flowers have become the signature of the House, which the Mischer Traxler duo has made a dialogue with the ecosystem of the Champagne vineyard. Thus, the House continues to write its history alongside artists who offer their interpretation of the Perrier-Jouët identity; here by taking a faithful and optimistic look at the biodiversity of its terroir.

“In nature, everything is interconnected and harmonious. Every aspect of a living creature has a reason to exist. All living organisms work together in an eternal cycle of dialogue and correlation” Mischer Traxler

Perrier-Jouët Presents its Christmas Gift Set

The main box of this collaboration containing the Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is a tribute to the biodiversity of the House’s vineyards. The Champagne ecosystem is represented as perceived by Séverine Frerson, Perrier-Jouët’s eighth Cellar Master.

Chardonnay, at the heart of the House’s complex and floral style, lives in symbiosis with roses, dragonflies, poppy flowers and other bees, bumblebees and ladybugs.

“Perrier-Jouët’s standards are twofold: the quality of the wines and the commitment to nature. I can’t create demanding wines without cultivating my link to the living world, starting with the vine. Séverine Frerson

Resolutely in tune with the times, this unique limited edition celebrating biodiversity will be available in France on the Vinatis website by the end of the year.
