Nestled in a sprawling 22-hectare park in the serene Cognac landscape is the historic Château de Chanteloup, former home of the Martell family, renowned cognac merchants since 1715. This summer, Maison Martell has introduced an exclusive gastronomic experience in collaboration with Alexandre Mazzia, the celebrated chef who was awarded his third Michelin star in 2021 for his Marseille restaurant, AM by Alexandre Mazzia. Dubbed Signature Martell by Alexandre Mazzia, this distinctive gastronomic experience invites you on an immersive journey into the harmonious fusion of haute cuisine and cognac.

Located just ten minutes from the center of Cognac, Château de Chanteloup presents an intimate dining experience combining the rich, complex flavors of Martell cognacs with the gastronomic artistry of Michelin-starred chef Alexandre Mazzia.

This collaboration between Martell cellar master Christophe Valtaud and Mazzia creates a gastronomic narrative that enriches the complex balance of flavors, celebrating the art of marrying food and cognac. The château, a symbol of French art de vivre, now serves as a sophisticated backdrop where historic charm meets contemporary design, conceived by Jorge Penadés. Penadés’ customized furniture and design elements set the mood, while Rémy Savage’s expert mixology creates the perfect tone for the evening, making this collaboration a true culmination of cognac gastronomy and craftsmanship.

THE DINING EXPERIENCE

The Signature Martell by Alexandre Mazzia experience is designed for an intimate group of up to six guests. The journey begins with a signature cognac cocktail crafted by Christophe Valtaud and Martell’s Master Mixologist, Rémy Savage.

Diners are then seated at a modular table, open to the kitchen, where they can watch the culinary magic unfold. Chef Michele Donvito, the executive chef and Mazzia’s right-hand man from AM in Marseille, leads the kitchen, ensuring each dish reflects the creative essence and high standards of Mazzia’s philosophy.

The menu showcases Chef Mazzia’s innovative use of spices, fermentation, and roasting, paired with exclusive cognac blends from Martell’s extensive reserve of over 11,000 eaux-de-vie. Guests can further personalize their experience by selecting rare vintages from the cellar, making each dining occasion unique.

Starting July 25, 2024, Signature Martell by Alexandre Mazzia is available on Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday for lunch and dinner, strictly by reservation here.
