For the 20th anniversary of the Patrimony, Vacheron Constantin reveals a limited edition in collaboration with Ora ïto.

November 15, 2024- Luxury Watches

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of its iconic Patrimony collection, Vacheron Constantin introduces a stunning new limited edition in collaboration with visionary French designer Ora ïto. The Vacheron Constantin x Ora ïto Patrimony blends the refined elegance of 1950s watchmaking with Ora ïto’s innovative, modern design approach, crafting a timepiece bridging vintage elegance with contemporary sophistication.

First launched in 2004 and inspired by a 1957 model, the Patrimony Collection has become an icon of restrained sophistication and minimalism in high watchmaking. Now, with this new limited edition, Vacheron Constantin continues that legacy. The design perfectly balances simplicity and technical complexity. Encased in 40 mm of yellow gold, the watch features a unique, gold-toned dial. Hypnotic concentric circles capture and reflect light, evoking the celestial beauty of Bailey’s Beads seen during solar eclipses.

Adding a vintage touch, the watch includes a rich burgundy calfskin strap. Embossed with geometric patterns inspired by the 1970s, it brings unique character and depth to the timepiece.

Ora ïto’s Signature Simplexity

Ora ïto, known for his philosophy of Simplexity, emphasizes designs that appear simple yet conceal intricate inner structures. In this limited-edition Patrimony, he brings that concept to life. This approach aligns perfectly with Vacheron Constantin’s own commitment to minimalist elegance.

Inside the watch, the automatic Calibre 2450 movement—crafted with expert precision—powers each tick. Through the sapphire crystal case back, watch enthusiasts can admire the intricate mechanics and the openwork oscillating weight, adorned with Vacheron Constantin’s Maltese cross emblem.

A Collector’s Dream

With only 100 pieces in existence, the Vacheron Constantin x Ora ïto Patrimony is a collector’s treasure and a tribute to the Patrimony’s lasting appeal. Every detail, from the discreet date display at six o’clock to the seamless design, reflects the Maison’s dedication to horological excellence. This special edition marks 20 years of Patrimony’s minimalist legacy—a rare gem for the fortunate few.
