A Spanish Icon Finds a New Home in the Heart of Paris

January 5, 2025 – Luxury Retail, Adolfo Domínguez

Founded in the 1970s in Ourense, Galicia, Adolfo Domínguez has long been synonymous with understated sophistication. The brand’s philosophy, encapsulated in its famous tagline “La arruga es bella” (Wrinkles are beautiful), embraces natural beauty and timeless design. Known for its use of sustainable materials and commitment to craftsmanship, the label’s clothing line and accessories marry comfort with elegance.

Now led by Adriana Domínguez, with Antonio Puente as CEO, the brand continues to thrive on the global stage. Its designs, characterized by clean lines, earthy tones, and eco-conscious fabrics, have gained loyal followers in Spain and abroad.

Adolfo Domínguez is further solidifying its presence in France with the opening of a new boutique in the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris. Located at 99 Rue de Rivoli, the store offers direct access to the Louvre Museum, placing it at the heart of one of the city’s most visited landmarks.

The boutique reflects the brand’s essence, with a welcoming ambiance and a design. This new space joins the brand’s existing locations in Paris, including its stores in Printemps and the Marais district.

With nine boutiques across France, including Lyon, Dijon, Miramas, Saint-Laurent-du-Var, and Strasbourg, this expansion is part of a broader international growth strategy. Recent openings in markets like Ecuador, the Philippines, Mexico, and Portugal demonstrate the brand’s ambition to strengthen its global footprint. Today, Adolfo Domínguez operates 362 points of sale across 26 countries.

Sustainability at Adolfo Domínguez‘s Core

Since 2018, Adolfo Domínguez has actively engaged with society through thought-provoking campaigns and initiatives reflecting the brand’s ethos like “Sé Más Viejo” (Be Older), “Piensa. Luego Compra” (Think. Then Buy), and “Repite Más. Necesita Menos” (Repeat More. Need Less).

The brand has also launched innovative projects like ADN Rent, a clothing rental service designed to offer alternatives to excessive consumption. Currently, 39% of its garments are produced with sustainable features, demonstrating its commitment to reducing environmental impact.

In addition to its in-house efforts, Adolfo Domínguez collaborates with entities like Pyratex, a Spanish start-up recognized for its development and use of sustainable, natural fibers.
