Nicolas Di Felice Crafts a Nightlife-Ready Wardrobe

March 5, 2025 – Paris Fashion Week: Courrèges FW25

Nicolas Di Felice reshapes Courrèges’ space-age legacy into a nightlife-ready wardrobe. This season, he explores contrast—rigid and fluid, covered and exposed—turning tension into design.

The runway at Carreau du Temple felt like stepping into a futuristic nightclub. White pillars wrapped in fabric created a stark, controlled space, while paillettes swirled through the air, catching the light. The setting echoed the collection’s push and pull between restraint and release.

The palette, mainly white, red, and black intensified the silhouettes. Jackets featured precise cutouts, shifting coverage with movement. Miniskirts trailed long panels of fabric, revealing and concealing in motion.

Color blocking reinforced Courrèges’ clean, graphic aesthetic. A deep V-neck white coat carried sculptural weight, softened by its drape. A black minidress with dramatic shoulders nodded to the Maison’s heritage, yet felt unapologetically now. Sharpness infused into adaptability, built for a fast-paced world.

Shapes in Motion

Di Felice’s designs shift with the body, creating adaptaive pieces. Layered constructions let wearers adjust coverage, shaping each look in real-time. One dress could be worn in multiple ways, revealing new dimensions with every step.

This season, sculptural elements are in focus. A red dress, rigid at first glance, unraveled into fluid folds mid-motion. A black bodysuit with architectural seams hugged the frame, accentuating movement without restriction.

As for the Accessories, a bold red double-tasseled scarf punctuated the monochrome looks, injecting movement into the collection’s sleek aesthetic. Footwear remained futuristic—Courrèges’ signature molded boots, built for the next era.

For all its impact, some designs leaned closer to form studies than daily wear. Di Felice refines rather than reinvents, but how far can repetition push evolution? That question lingered as models disappeared into the haze.
