Dior Cruise 2027 Show to Hit Los Angeles at Peter Zumthor's Most Awaited American Project

The history of Dior and Hollywood runs long, deep, and genuinely romantic. Since Christian Dior himself declared his love for American women in the late 1940s, dressing them with the same devotion he brought to Paris, the Maison has claimed Los Angeles as its spiritual second home. The Rodeo Drive flagship, designed by Architect Peter Marino, opened its doors last year, cementing the Maison's permanent presence on the most iconic shopping street in America. And now, on May 13, Dior Cruise 2027 Los Angeles takes that love affair to an entirely new level. Jonathan Anderson presents his debut cruise collection for Dior on the grounds of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, set against the newly completed David Geffen Galleries, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss Architect Peter Zumthor. The Stage Zumthor Built

Los Angeles has been waiting seventeen years for this building. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss Architect Peter Zumthor in collaboration with SOM, the David Geffen Galleries is a 900-foot-long concrete structure that floats above Wilshire Boulevard on elevated piers. It houses LACMA's permanent collection across a single, uninterrupted exhibition level. Zumthor's vision is serene, cool, and flooded with natural light. A space designed to make you wander, discover, and keep going. And as a setting for a fashion show, it creates something most runway venues rarely do; a sense that the collection exists inside something larger than the season.

Dior arrives in Los Angeles as part of a broader and deliberate move by European luxury toward the American market this year. Gucci presents cruise 2027 in New York City on May 16. Louis Vuitton follows on May 20.
