A block behind the Arc de Triomphe, L'Aventure Paris has been pulling in Parisian night owls and international noctambules for nearly three decades. It went quiet for a few years. Then, last year, the father-and-son duo Gilbert and Thierry Costes, the family behind Hôtel Costes, Café Marly and La Maison du Caviar, walked in and turned a new page, transforming the emblematic address into a luxury trifecta of hotel, restaurant and private club. Since its reopening, L'Aventure Paris has quickly become one of the fashion crowd's favorite addresses in the city and a fixture of every fashion week and design week calendar.
The original L'Aventure Paris was founded by French singer Dani, who turned 4 Avenue Victor Hugo into one of the great nocturnal mythologies of 1980s Paris, a room where musicians, models and free spirits of every persuasion found each other after dark. That spirit is what Gilbert and Thierry Costes set out to revive when they acquired the 19th-century Haussmannian building during the pandemic. They took their time. The Restaurant and Club opened in early 2025. The Hotel followed in February 2026. The result is the most complete address the Beaumarly Group has ever built.
The Table
Continuous service from noon to 11pm. In Paris. That alone is worth the reservation. The room does the rest: embroidered velvets, marble tables, sculptural chandeliers and a view over Avenue Victor Hugo that makes two hours feel like twenty minutes. The menu moves between French classicism and something sharper: paccheri rigati with caviar, steak tartare maki, wagyu cecina, blue lobster risotto. Order the silver cod. The bar is already the most sought-after new meeting spot in the 16th. The fashion crowd found it first, as it always does.
The Club
At midnight, L'Aventure Paris becomes a different place entirely. The mosaics get more mythological. The velvet curtains part. The digital scenography shifts. Honey Dijon has played here. So has Guy Gerber. So has Seth Troxler. Willy Chavarria celebrated his Paris debut in this room. Solange Knowles has been on that floor. The club runs Thursday to Saturday, on selection, intimate by design. The smallest club where the greatest artists play is not a tagline. We have seen it firsthand.
The Hotel
Fifteen rooms across five floors, conceived by Vincent Darré as the apartment of a Parisian dandy who collects art, entertains late and never explains himself. Four shades of dark paneling. Allegorical programs running floor by floor. A monumental staircase as the building's spine. Works by Adel Abdessemed and Philippe Parreno from the Costes family's personal collection on the walls. The Arc de Triomphe Suite has a balcony that makes checkout feel like a personal failure. The hotel does not appear on major booking platforms. You already know what that means.
L'Aventure Paris has always been the right name. This spring, it is the right address.
