ONE OF FRANCE’S GEMS IS IN COMPETITION FOR THE FAVORITE MONUMENTS. DISCOVER LE PALAIS BENEDICTINE, A LOCATION OF WONDERS BUILT IN THE 19TH CENTURY.

For the 2021 edition of the show “Le Monument préféré des Français” French’s favorites monuments, presented by Stéphane Bern, Le Palais Bénédictine has been chosen to represent the Normandy. This show consists in nominating buildings that belong to the French cultural heritage – from prehistory to contemporary architecture – and in making people vote online to choose the most outstanding monument.

The palace truly deserves its place in the competition: built at the end of the 19th century in Fécamp following the plans of architect Camille Albert, this majestic place combines neo-gothic and neo-renaissance styles.

The palace was actually created for Alexandre-Prosper Le Grand, a spirits merchant who earned his fortune by creating and marketing Benedictine liqueur. Today, Le Palais Bénédictine is home to the world’s largest distillery of Benedictine liqueur. It is an essential part of France’s spirits heritage and continues to cultivate the know-how and artisanal methods used to make the famous liqueur, which requires no less than 27 plants and spices from around the world to come to life.

Each year, Le Palais Bénédictine welcomes thousands of tourists eager to know the backstage and secrets of the manufacture, who also get to discover a renowned collection of works of art in the museum part.

The magnificent Palais Bénédicte contributes entirely to the rise of a new trend: SPIRITOURISM.

Whether you are a fan or simply curious, the Benedictine Palace has not failed to reveal its secrets. To each his own
according to his tastes and aspirations, the proposed experiences leave no one indifferent!
