FONDAZIONE FURLA: SUZANNE JACKSON. SOMETHINGS IN THE WORLD

Suzanne Jackson’s solo exhibition, presented by the WorldFurla Foundation and GAM – Gallery of Modern Art in Milan and curated by Bruna Roccasalva, offers a retrospective of the American artist’s work spanning over fifty years. The exhibition showcases Jackson’s evolution from figurative and narrative painting to abstraction and a unique sculptural and environmental approach to art. It features iconic pieces alongside new and previously unseen works, creating a dialogue with the museum’s collection. This exhibition is part of the Furla Series project, a collaboration between the Furla Foundation and GAM, aiming to promote annual exhibitions that bridge past masters and contemporary artists. GALLERIE D’ITALIA: MAX VADUKUL, ‘THROUGH HER EYES – TIMELESS STRENGTH’

Max Vadukul’s photographic exhibition, “Through Her Eyes – Timeless Strength,” arrives at Milan’s Gallerie d’Italia from September 18th to November 19th, 2023, following its success in Dubai. This exhibition is a profound exploration of the eternal feminine, captured through Vadukul’s lens, with Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, a top model, as the inspiring muse. Vadukul skillfully portrays Ludmilla in black and white, his signature style, highlighting her multifaceted nature. The exhibition comprises 40 large-scale prints, each a testament to Ludmilla’s ability to embody various characters and strengths, representing the incomparable power of an individual. The shooting took place in Villa Gattoni in Meleti, a place frozen in time, creatively directed by Nicoletta Santoro. Max Vadukul, a highly respected photographer globally, is known for his work with prestigious publications and portraits of prominent figures. Ludmilla Voronkina Bozzetti, hailing from Sochi, Russia, has had a remarkable modeling career, working with renowned designers and photographers and receiving the “TAOMODA TOP MODEL AWARD” in July 2022. PALAZZO REALE: JIMMY NELSON, HUMANITY

Palazzo Reale will host Jimmy Nelson’s first Italian solo exhibition from September 20, 2023, to January 21, 2024. As one of the most prominent contemporary international photographers, Nelson has dedicated his life to documenting endangered indigenous cultures worldwide. The exhibition, a collaboration between the Municipality of Milan, Palazzo Reale, Skira Editore, the Jimmy Nelson Foundation, and curators Nicolas Ballario and Federica Crivellaro, will feature 65 large photographs from Nelson’s renowned body of work. “Jimmy Nelson.
