Rosewood Le Guanahani Marks 40 Years With a Final Rosewood Season

Forty years after Le Guanahani became part of Saint-Barth’s identity, the hotel celebrates its anniversary with a year shaped around the island itself. Set on a private peninsula between Marigot Bay and Grand Cul-de-Sac, Rosewood Le Guanahani Saint-Barth marks the occasion through art, gastronomy, wellness, and experiences that draw you deeper into the quieter side of the island.

The 40th-anniversary program reaches beyond a commemorative season. A residency with Cuban-American artist Daniel Dugan unfolds through site-specific works, a fashion capsule, and an expanded children’s program, while monthly showcases with Artists of St. Barth keep the local creative scene present throughout the year. Around that, the hotel layers private dining on Marigot Bay, candlelit yoga, guided hikes across Le Morne, Italian evenings, and pastry experiences with Julien Boury.

Dinner, Barefoot or Over the Water

At Rosewood Le Guanahani Saint-Barth, dinner does not have to begin with a table reservation. The hotel can arrange private dining directly on the beach or along the pontoon overlooking Marigot Bay, turning the evening into something much more personal than another night out in Gustavia. Feet in the sand, the sound of the water, and a table set away from the restaurant give the experience its appeal, especially at sunset when the bay quiets down and the hotel feels almost completely removed from the rest of the island. Rosewood currently positions the experience around private, customized dining in Marigot Bay, with beachside and pontoon settings available on request.

Back at Beach House St. Barth, the vibe is more social. The restaurant follows a Mediterranean direction with strong island influence, and every Wednesday Italian Night brings antipasti, pizza, pasta, and traditional desserts into a more festive evening format. It works particularly well if you want one night that stays entirely within the hotel without feeling like you simply stayed in for dinner.

Marigot Bay After Sunset

When the light drops over Marigot Bay, the beach changes pace. Music comes in, drinks stretch into dinner, and Beach House St. Barth shifts into one of the hotel’s most animated settings, with DJ-led evenings, dinners under the stars, and art collaborations woven into the program.

For the anniversary season, Rosewood continues that mix with local artists, beachfront gatherings, and sunset moments that keep the energy on the water long after the beach day ends. It feels very Saint-Barth: polished without being stiff, social without becoming a scene, and still anchored in the quieter side of the island.

Candlelight on the Jetty

On Saturday evenings, Candlelight Yoga moves onto the jetty for a 60-minute session under the stars, with the bay on one side and candlelight running along the deck. Breathing, stretching, and slower movement set the pace, making it one of those Saint-Barth experiences that feels completely tied to place.

Beyond the water, guided hikes across Le Morne follow the peninsula through native vegetation and elevated viewpoints, with sunrise and twilight among the best moments to go. It adds a wilder side to the stay and opens up the landscape beyond the beach.
