THE PENINSULA PARIS AND GALERIE TEMPLON JOIN FORCES FOR AN EXHIBITION SERIES AT THE PARISIAN PALACE.

Since its creation, The Peninsula Hotels has been committed to promoting the thriving arts and culture of the cities where its hotels are located. With this in mind, in 2019 the hotel group launched a traveling exhibition called “Art in Resonance” which, after taking up residence at The Peninsula Hong Kong in spring 2019, resided at The Peninsula Paris the following fall. This project reflected the desire to support the artistic world, not only as an exhibition space, but also as an innovative actor and spokesperson for culture.

Building on this initiative introduced by The Peninsula Hotels, The Peninsula Paris is now partnering with Galerie Templon, a Parisian art gallery established in 1966, to launch a new exhibition program featuring works that stimulate the senses and invite reflection within the hotel.

This collaboration takes shape from today until January 10, 2022 with an exhibition of artworks by a Chilean artist known for his sculptures of neon, fluorescent and incandescent lights: Iván Navarro. Five of his works of art are placed in the public spaces of the hotel to allow everyone to discover the world of this creator. Another five are placed in two of the hotel’s most beautiful suites to offer an exclusive artistic experience to the guests of these suites. Seven of the ten works on display are unique, including Home, a work commissioned from the artist by The Peninsula Hotels in 2019 as part of the “Art in Resonance” exhibition. The other three works were made by the artist in only three copies.

During the three-month exhibition, two roundtable discussions will be held at the Avenue Kléber hotel, led by art experts. Open to all (reservation required), these meetings aim to promote and facilitate dialogue between different generations of artists and audiences. Art lovers, novices or experts, but also art school students will be welcome.

Throughout 2022, The Peninsula Paris will continue its program dedicated to art by exhibiting the work of other artists in its spaces, thus highlighting the diversity of what this rich universe has to offer.
