Dior Debuts Gold House in Bangkok Featuring Parisian Elegance and Thai Artistry

Bangkok’s bustling Ploenchit neighborhood now boasts an extraordinary new landmark: the Dior Gold House. This dazzling concept store, which opened last Friday, invites you to step into the world of Dior.
The structure is a striking recreation of the iconic 30 Avenue Montaigne façade, Dior’s Parisian birthplace. Its octagonal design, adorned with handmade gold mosaic tiles, reflects the grandeur of Parisian heritage.
The Gold House weaves Thai artistry into its design. Lush tropical landscaping and locally inspired techniques bring a distinctively Thai dimension to the experience.
Spanning over 1,000 square meters, the space features eight gilded façades and interiors that incorporate natural materials like bamboo, wood, and raffia. These elements contrast elegantly with Dior’s signature motifs, such as the toile de Jouy and Plan de Paris.

Inside, you can admire stunning installations, including elephant footprint-inspired sculptures by Boonserm Premthada, a reimagined tuk-tuk for Dior by Sagan Yen Panya, and subtle interior sculptures by Wishulada Panthanuyong. Elegant furniture pieces by Eggarat Wongcharit and the Sumphat duo (Rush Pleansuk and Philippe Moisan) combine functionality with style.
Continuing its tradition of collaborating with local artists, Dior presents exclusive Lady Dior bags as works of art. This time, Vassana Saima and Savin Saima have crafted designs using bamboo, evoking traditional floral artistry.
From above, the roof reveals a stunning detail: a five-pointed star—a tribute to Christian Dior’s good luck charm.
The experience extends to Café Dior, designed by Korakot Aromdee, whose bamboo installations draw inspiration from flora and fauna. Chef Mauro Colagreco, the three-Michelin-starred talent behind Mirazur, crafts the café menu. His creations, inspired by nature and Dior’s love of flowers, add a haute couture flair to the culinary journey.
Though designed as a temporary structure, the Dior Gold House leaves a lasting impression. It tells Dior’s story with extraordinary precision, bringing together history, fashion, and culture in a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
