BELMOND’S ROYAL SCOTSMAN TRAIN CONTINUES TO ELEVATE LUXURY TRAVEL WITH THE ADDITION OF AN ONBOARD DIOR SPA CARRIAGE AND TWO NEW EXPERT-LED ITINERARIES FOR 2023.

The Royal Scotsman train, known for its lavish offerings and scenic routes through Scotland, has partnered with luxury fashion brand Dior to launch an exclusive onboard Dior Spa Carriage. The train, operated by Belmond, has also introduced two new expert-led itineraries for 2023 that promise unique culinary and adventure experiences.

The Dior Spa Carriage, the result of an exclusive collaboration between the Royal Scotsman and Dior, features two treatment rooms that have been restyled with Dior’s iconic burgundy toile de Jouy motif. The spa offers a new treatment menu that includes three tailor-made services specifically designed to complement train travel. Among them is the D-Travel body massage, which targets eliminating toxins and relieving muscle pain or tension, and the D-Highlands treatment, which uses traditional Kobido facial massage techniques to achieve a more sculpted look and improve overall skin texture.

In addition to the new spa carriage, the Royal Scotsman has also introduced two new expert-led itineraries for 2023. The Highland Survival Adventure trip challenges guests to complete a modern-day Royal Marines Commando Assault Training program across the Western Highlands. The Taste of Scotland experience, on the other hand, offers guests a series of world-class dining experiences by chef Tom Kitchin, showcasing his signature ‘From Nature to Plate’ philosophy rooted in celebrating the finest Scottish produce.

The Highland Survival Adventure trip is a roundtrip from Edinburgh that takes place from June 30 to July 3. Guests will participate in a range of activities, including abseiling, gorge scrambling, and canyoning. The Taste of Scotland experience takes place from September 4 to 6 and includes a barbecue lunch in the Cairngorms National Park, an onboard wine tasting, and a whisky masterclass at the Benromach distillery.

The launch of the new Dior Spa Carriage and itineraries comes ahead of the introduction of the Royal Scotsman’s latest accommodations, the Grand Suites, which are set to join the train in 2024. These new suites will feature double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a private living area, with guests privy to a host of extra services.
