The Spanish fashion and beauty Maison has unveiled Colonias Absolutas, a fragrance collection that is less a new chapter and more a homecoming. A journey back to the Mediterranean roots of its founder, Antonio Puig, and the aromatic essence that first defined the House.

Master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena shaped the scents with a focus on essential emotion. The fragrances are housed in vessels inspired by old Balearic jars. The packaging is a shade of terracotta that speaks of earth and sun. It feels like the earth. Like Spain.

The iconic aromatic fougère is reimagined for a new generation. It retains its signature freshness of lavender and wild mint but is deepened with a sensual, woody base of oakmoss, making it more enveloping.

Agua Lavanda Iris
A study in elegant contrast. Ellena marries the popular, familiar warmth of lavender with the noble, powdery softness of white iris. It’s a fragrance that is both comforting and sophisticated, bridging the gap between the everyday and the exquisite.

Agua Noble
Born from a dialogue between Ellena and Manuel Puig of the founding family, this scent captures the spirit of Andalusian leather. It’s illuminated by bright citrus and grounded by a luminous heart of orange blossom, creating a scent that is both radiant and grounded.

The only entirely new creation in the line, this is the scent of a perfect, suspended moment. “For me, fig leaf is the true smell of the Mediterranean,” says Ellena. Blended with wild mint and mastic, it evokes the feeling of shade and serenity under a fig tree on a summer day.
