March 15, 2025 – Milan Design Week 2025

Milan Design Week 2025 salone del Mobile Milano

Milan Design Week 2025, slated to unfold from April 7th to 13, is gearing up to attract design fans worldwide. Steeped in tradition, the renowned Salone del Mobile will kickstart proceedings on Tuesday, April 8th, welcoming participants to the Rho Fiera Milano spaces.

At the heart of the upcoming Milan Design Week lies its central theme: “Thought for Humans. Il Design a Misura d’Uomo.” this concept emphasizes the intimate relationship between design and human well-being. The campaign, developed by Dentsu Creative Italy, is a visual exploration of this harmony—captured in striking photographs by New York artist Bill Durgin, where the human form merges with materials like wood, metal, fabric, and bio-plastic.

In the lead-up to the event, Milan’s historic trams, metro stations, and airports will be wrapped in Salone’s signature visual identity, counting down to the city’s most anticipated week—with 500 buses featuring over 1,000 screens, along with 354 displays across 13 airports and 3,379 screens in train and metro stations from Genoa to Rome.

Meanwhile, the return of Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala from April 1st, the Welcome Project, and 100 design students stationed at key locations will enhance accessibility & engagement.

Beyond the fairgrounds, Milan Design Week extends into the city’s vibrant districts—Brera, Tortona, Isola, and 5Vie—transforming the city into a showcase of installations, exhibitions, and design-driven experiences. Here’s your guide to navigating the definitive global design event of the year.

Salone Internazionale del Mobile

April 8–13, 2025 | Rho Fiera Milano

The cornerstone of Milan Design Week, the Salone del Mobile returns for its 63rd edition, showcasing cutting-edge furniture, interiors, and product design innovations. A landmark for both industry professionals and design enthusiasts. The fair’s scale makes strategic planning essential—mapping out key exhibitors and halls in advance will help maximize the experience.

Euroluce

April 8–13, 2025 | Rho Fiera Milano

The 2025 edition also marks the much-anticipated return of Euroluce, the biennial lighting exhibition. This year’s edition will showcase light as a technological and functional forceone that shapes perception, emotion, and spatial comfort.

Since its first edition in 1976, Euroluce has been at the forefront of lighting innovation, with over 300 international exhibitors. This edition explores how light intersects with sustainability, digitization, and human well-being—a crucial consideration in today’s hyper-connected world. From architectural and industrial lighting to theatrical and medical applications, Euroluce 2025 highlights the ever-expanding role of light in shaping our built environments.

Debuting this year, the Euroluce International Lighting Forum (April 10–11) will host a global dialogue on the future of lighting design. The forum opens with Robert Wilson, the visionary artist known for transforming light into an immersive experience. Other key participants include DRIFT, A.J. Weissbard, Marjan van Aubel, and Kaoru Mende, bringing diverse perspectives to the conversation.

Milano, S.Project explores the fluid integration of technical elements, furnishings, and décor, showcasing a broad spectrum of solutions—from interior and outdoor furniture to coverings, lighting, acoustic innovations, wellness products, and textiles.

This year, S.Project continues to highlight key contemporary design trends, including the hybridization of spaces and the shift from isolated product design to holistic environmental composition. The focus on luxury interiors, emotional engagement, and the concept of ‘nest spaces‘ reflects the growing demand for fully coordinated and immersive environments.

At S.Project, interior design is presented as a cohesive, experiential whole of ecological responsibility. Through its carefully curated showcases, the exhibition introduces a glimpse into the future of sustainable design.
