Chanel Beauty Takes Over Covent Garden With a Celestial Holiday Installation

Covent Garden sparkles with festive energy every December, but this year the piazza shines with a touch of Parisian magic courtesy of Chanel. More than a decade after opening its first flagship boutique in the historic London destination, the Maison has created an illuminated installation transforming the North Piazza into a star-strewn holiday escape. Wander freely through a celestial world of lights, music, and iconic symbols, experiencing Chanel beyond the boutique in a moment of pure enchantment.

Chanel has deep roots in Covent Garden. The Maison was the first beauty brand to host a pop-up in the neighborhood in 2012. Later, opening a standalone beauty boutique that helped cement the area as a destination for luxury beauty. The piazza has long served as a stage for Chanel’s creative expressions, from fragrance activations to seasonal pop-ups.

Chanel’ Beauty’s Festive Universe

Chanel Beauty installation, open from December 6 to 28, excluding Christmas Day, celebrates the Maison’s most emblematic symbols. Lions, camellias, golden wheat, shimmering pearls, and the iconic comet are reimagined as celestial light sculptures. All arranged like constellations under a luminous night sky. At the heart of the installation, a glowing N°5 bottle rests within a spiraling helix of light, serving as the centerpiece of this festive universe.

You are invited to move freely through the space. Create your own path and personal holiday memories. Live musical performances with artists take the stage every hour from 14:00 to 18:30 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Covent Garden itself amplifies the magic with its historic architecture, street performers, and a giant Christmas tree. The neighborhood has become a hub for festive beauty experiences. Including Dyson’s first UK holiday-themed pop-up, Byoma’s Boots collaboration, and Naturium’s one-day event at Battersea Power Station.
