Emma Corrin has a gift for embodying complexity. From Princess Diana in The Crown to a new turn as Elizabeth Bennet in an upcoming Pride and Prejudice adaptation, Corrin slips between innocence and intensity with ease. Now, Miu Miu channels that same spirit into a different role, muse for the brand’s first fragrance with L’Oréal, Miutine.

Miutine arrives at a pivotal moment for Miu Miu. Fashion’s rebellious younger sibling has been dictating the mood of the past few seasons with pleated skirts, cropped knits, and sly femininity. Beauty, it seems, was always part of the story, waiting for the right script.

Perfumer Dominique Ropion composed Miutine as a modern gourmand with an unexpected edge. It opens with citrus brightness, drifts into a floral heart, and anchors in oak moss and patchouli. Then comes the twist, wild strawberry, brown sugar, and bourbon vanilla. Sweet, yes, but never safe. “I wanted a harmony that felt playful and sensual at once,” Ropion explains.

The fragrance mirrors that duality. Miu Miu’s signature matelassé texture folds across the glass, topped with a sequin-like cap. For Miutine, the maison chose glazed brown, a shade borrowed from its leather goods. It’s instantly recognizable, yet undeniably new.

Cast Emma Corrin as the Face

For the campaign, Miu Miu tapped Corrin to embody the fragrance. Their casting feels less like an ad and more like character work. On screen, Corrin is known for bringing a quiet, literary depth to every role. Here, they do the same.

“Miu Miu really took the time to listen,” Corrin says. “That feels rare, and even more precious.” Their words echo the fragrance’s concept, individuality expressed through contrast. Innocence against provocation. Tradition against rebellion. Complexity distilled into scent.

The visuals capture that tension. Corrin appears in cinematic portraits, their energy part Austen, part modern icon. The gaze is direct, the mood mischievous, the presence entirely Miu Miu.

    Fashion Codes in Fragrance

Miutine translates Miu Miu fashion codes, eccentricity, intellect, wit into fragrance. Like its collections, the scent thrives on contradiction. It plays between youthful lightness and adult sophistication, between sweetness and structure.

That dialogue reflects Miuccia Prada’s approach to design. Miu Miu has always been less about surface beauty than about the stories clothes, and now scents, can tell. Miutine carries that ethos in liquid form, a perfume that feels like an accessory, a gesture, even a mood.
