A Legendary Palace Marks Its Centennial With Star Power, New Suites, and a Krug-Paired Garden Menu

June 9, 2025- Le Bristol Paris Celebrates 100 Years x Krug

Hôtel Le Bristol Paris opened its doors in 1925 on the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. A century later, it remains one of the most iconic addresses in the French capital. Its story began when visionary hotelier Hippolyte Jammet acquired an opulent private mansion that once belonged to diplomat Jules de Castellane. From the very beginning, Jammet set out to create the finest hotel in Paris—a sanctuary of refinement for the world’s most discerning travelers.

The building’s original grandeur still radiates through its corridors and salons, shaped by a century of art, diplomacy, and pleasure. From hosting Charlie Chaplin to becoming the headquarters of the U.S. Embassy during the Second World War, Le Bristol has continuously reinvented itself while preserving its soul. Every corner whispers history. Every suite breathes character.

This year, Le Bristol marks its 100th anniversary with elegance and imagination. The hotel has launched a yearlong celebration that blends haute design, culinary creativity, and playful storytelling, reinforcing its place as a living landmark in Paris.

A Centennial Celebration Infused With Creativity

To honor its milestone year, Le Bristol has introduced a range of artistic collaborations and immersive guest experiences. Two of its most beloved suites—the Signature Honeymoon and the Imperial—have been entirely reimagined.

The Signature Honeymoon Suite now features a romantic fresco of Eros and Psyche, painted by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, an artist known for his work with Hermès. The Imperial Suite evokes the aesthetic of a Parisian art collector’s apartment, with contributions by New York painter George Condo.

Guests are also invited to become part of the hotel’s story through a custom-designed board game. In a special edition of Cluedo, the hotel replaces mystery with intrigue: the disappearance of Socrate, its resident Birman cat mascot, sends guests on a playful scavenger hunt through storied spaces like the Castellane Salon and the Épicure kitchen.

The hotel has also partnered with French candle house Trudon to craft a signature scent. Each of the 190 rooms and suites features this exclusive candle, filling the palace with warm notes that echo Le Bristol’s heritage of comfort and charm.

Epicurean Elegance in the Summer Garden

This summer, Le Bristol unveils an exclusive menu in collaboration with Maison Krug, served in its 1,200-square-meter interior garden. The experience pays tribute to la dolce vita, blending Italian warmth with Parisian savoir-faire. Executive Chef Arnaud Faye, named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2019, leads this seasonal offering with precision and lighthearted flair.

The menu opens with vibrant garden plates: tomato Margherita salad, crudo of tuna with olive oil from La Trinité, and violin zucchini in a ragoût jus. Roman-style pizzas anchor the experience, crafted with elegance and bold pairings:

Krug Lover: carrot-ricotta base, red prawn, curry oil
Tuna Space + Caviar: an ode to extravagance
Tartufata: the iconic truffle-parmesan duo

Italian-inspired desserts include Bronte pistachio ice cream, candied strawberries, classic tiramisu, and espresso affogato. Each dish pairs with a cuvée from Krug, founded in 1843, whose pursuit of precision elevates every bite.
