Pompeii erupts on the runway. Fausto Puglisi doesn’t just reference history—he sets it ablaze. For Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2025/26, he conjures a vision where fire meets fashion, ruins meet reinvention, and destruction becomes preservation.

Inside the Visconti Pavilion, frescoes of ancient domus reappear, but they aren’t frozen in time. They move, they shimmer, they burn. Gilded mosaics blur into python prints, marble patterns crack under molten lava. Silk slip dresses glisten with cameo embroidery, and mini tunics wrap the body like armor. Opulence, undone.

Cavalli’s heritage pulses through every look. Animal prints, power silhouettes & fierce sensuality. This is a resurrection!

    Fire, Metal, and Ancient Echoes

Puglisi’s Pompeii is a city reborn. Velvet devoré dresses flicker like flames. Mini tunics, their shapes inspired by Roman drapery, shimmer in metallic threads. A warrior queen emerges.

Accessories ignite the fantasy. Sculptural belts mimic molten rock. Gold-studded boots climb the leg like ancient gladiator sandals. Jewelry traps Napoleonic bees in amber, preserving beauty in time.

Then, the lava arrives. A total-black evening dress, its hemline streaked with glowing orange-red. It moves, liquid and powerful, capturing the moment of eruption, the exact second history was sealed in fire.

    Preserve, Protect, Reimagine

Puglisi’s message is clear: destruction is not the end, it’s transformation. The Pompeii ruins remind us—what is lost can be found, and what disappears can be reborn. He takes Cavalli’s legacy, not to archive it, but to let it burn, reshape, and rise again.

A Python-print coat. A marble-dyed slip dress. A PVC-covered fresco-print caftan, frozen in time yet undeniably now. The contrast is intoxicating. Fluid, languid, untamed.

This is a tribute to Roberto Cavalli’s wild sensuality, a declaration of survival: Beauty remains. Power endures. Fashion reinvents.
