Moët & Chandon Inaugurates Its Historic Orangerie for the "Habits de Lumière" Gala this Decemeber

As the legendary Avenue de Champagne in Épernay dazzles with its annual Habits de Lumière, Moët & Chandon unveils an exclusive new chapter. For the first time, and in honor of the 25th anniversary of Habits de Lumière, the Maison opens the doors of its historic Orangerie for a private dinner this December, placing you at the very heart of the celebrations. Quite simply, this is one of those rare moments when tradition, heritage, and champagne all sit at the same table.

A Gastronomic Overture by Chef Bardet

The experience begins on Friday, December 12 at 18:15. To set the tone, the gardens transform into a stage, presenting a sound and light performance that introduces the night’s atmosphere. Shortly after, guests step inside the Orangerie. Designed in the early nineteenth century by Jean Baptiste Isabey, the space offers a serene grandeur that instantly pulls you into its world.

Once inside, the dinner unfolds. Chef Jean-Michel Bardet presents a four-course menu paired with a selection of champagnes curated by cellar master Benoît Gouez. The tasting features Moët Impérial in magnum for the aperitif, followed by Grand Vintage 2016 Blanc, Grand Vintage 2016 Rosé, Grand Vintage Collection 2009, and a final touch with Nectar Impérial.

The evening concludes at 22:30, although the impression it leaves is designed to last far beyond the final sip.

For guests who extend their stay, Épernay offers cellar visits from 9:30 to 16:30. Tastings and boutique hours until 18:00. A champagne bar from 17:00 on Friday and Saturday. Live music by Immer Pulse, and food by Healthy Collections, along with an oyster bar by Chironfils.

On Friday night, the gastronomic dinner by Chef Bardet is available by reservation only.
