Every September, the Mostra di Venezia turns Venice into cinema’s most glamorous meeting point, bringing celebrities, art and cinema crowds back to the city. For clients spending the day on the Lido, few tables put them closer to the action.

Refined without becoming ceremonial, which makes Local a strong alternative to Venice’s grand-Hotel dining rooms.
Ristorante Venissa

Set inside a walled vineyard on Mazzorbo, just beyond Burano, Venissa turns lunch or dinner into a destination across the lagoon. A private boat service can also be arranged from Venice. This is not a table to squeeze between premieres. Book it when you wish to leave the Mostra behind for a few hours and experience a quieter, more rarefied side of the lagoon.
